WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

YOUR PUNCTUALITY :
We ask that you arrive on time to your lessons so your arrival is neither rushed or your child misses the start of the lesson.
Due to current restrictions :

Dickson St: do not arrive earlier than 5 minutes before your class and do not enter the property if a teacher is not present.

Wooloowin State School (WSS): car park open from 3.15 pm & pool access from 3.20 pm .

COMMITMENT TO YOUR LESSONS:
“Progress not perfection” is our motto and in order to achieve this we require a commitment to our program for the term. We know things can pop up from time to time but missing multiple lessons during the term leads to a disruption in the progress of not only your child but the whole class as the teacher can not move onto a new skill until all students have achieved a benchmark.

Therefore we ask that you consider all absences carefully.

COMMUNICATION OF ABSENCES:
Please advise KSS AQUATICS of any absence as soon as possible via the parent portal. If you cancellation falls with 2 hours of your lesson start time please text or call to advise us.

CURRENT INFORMATION:
Due to the current COVID situation we ask that you please keep all current personal details up to date for you and a carer if they are bringing students to their lessons. Please let KSS AQUATICS know of any change of address, email and medical information as soon as possible.

JOIN KSS TEAM APP & PARENT PORTAL:

We rely on the KSS AQUATICS Team App to communicate and broadcast with all families. This specifically applies to lesson cancellations due to weather events or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. We do not notify families individually via text or email and take no responsibility for the inconvenience caused due to missed notifications. Go to our parent portal page for details.

BRING YOUR EQUIPMENT:
All swimmers are required to wear caps so please remember to pack swim bags with the appropriate items. Swimmers can be refused entry to the pool without a swim cap. Swim caps are for sale at both venues.

Swim nappies for younger students need to be tight fitting and swim wear worn over the top. Do not use a regular nappy for swimming lessons.

Appropriate swimwear for other students:
One piece swimmers for girls (no bikinis)
Jammers or funky trunks for boys

Sunshirts must be in good condition, not stretched, saggy or ill fitting.

Goggles: if required must be your own for hygiene reasons.

Mini Squads: Fins, water bottle and your own kickboard if you have one.
Male students please do not wear boardshorts for squad lessons, these create drag when you swim and require you to expend more energy than required .

BEHAVIOUR:
KSS AQUATICS will not tolerate rude or abusive behaviour from its students or parents/carers. Our staff will report any inappropriate behaviour and your enrolment may be cancelled without refund.
